1. Introduction
Welcome to Wæf Rugs! By accessing our website and purchasing our products, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
2. Products
We offer a wide range of handmade rugs, including standard designs, custom creations, and limited-edition collaborations with artists. While we strive for accuracy in product descriptions, please note that colors, patterns, and sizes may vary slightly due to the nature of handmade rugs and individual monitor settings.
3. Pricing
Down Payment
For custom orders, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before production begins. The remaining balance is due before delivery.
Additional Costs
Prices do not include taxes, shipping fees, or handling charges, which will be calculated at checkout. International customers are responsible for any applicable duties, VAT, or import fees.
4. Ordering
To place an order, you must provide accurate and complete information. By placing an order, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into contracts and are at least 18 years old. Custom orders will not begin until the 50% deposit is received and the artwork or design is approved.
Payment Terms
Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to initiate production of custom rugs. No work will commence without the receipt of the deposit.
Final Payment
The remaining 50% balance must be paid in full upon completion of the rug, prior to shipping. Rugs will not be dispatched until the final payment has been received and confirmed.
Accepted Currencies
Payments can be made in Euros (€), US Dollars (USD), or British Pounds (£). We have dedicated accounts available for each currency to ensure smooth and transparent transactions.
Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods include bank transfers to the specified Euro, USD, or GBP accounts. Please ensure that all transfer fees are covered by the customer to avoid delays.
Late Payment
Any delay in the final payment may result in a delay in shipping. Waef Rugs reserves the right to apply a late fee of 10% per month on any outstanding balance past the invoice issue date.
Cancellation and Refunds
Deposits for custom rugs are non-refundable once production has started. Any cancellation requests must be made within 48 hours of the order confirmation.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping Times
For orders up to 6 square meters (SQM), delivery may take up to 4 months, depending on production schedules and design complexity.
For rugs larger than 6 SQM, delivery timelines may vary between 5 to 6 months, depending on the size and weave quality. Clients will be informed of the estimated timeline at the time of order confirmation.
International shipping
Wæf Rugs ships worldwide. Import duties, taxes, and VAT are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the product or shipping costs. These charges must be settled upon delivery.
Delivery Delays
While we strive to meet our shipping estimates, Wæf Rugs is not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control. These may include customs clearance, natural disasters, shipping carrier delays, or national holidays in Afghanistan, which may affect production timelines.
6. Product Variations and Quality
Handmade Rugs
Due to the handcrafted nature of our rugs, slight variations in size (up to 5%), colour, and texture may occur. These variations are not considered defects but a hallmark of artisanal craftsmanship.
Edges
Rugs may have slightly uneven edges, which is typical for handmade products. We recommend referring to samples for a more accurate representation of colours and textures.
7. Returns and Exchanges
Standard Items
If you’re not completely satisfied with your standard purchase, you may return it within [14 days] of delivery for a refund or exchange, provided it is in its original condition and packaging.
Custom Orders
Custom and bespoke rugs, as well as limited-edition artist collaborations, are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Claims
Any claims regarding defects or damages must be reported within 24 hours of receipt. Once a rug has been cut, installed, or used, it cannot be returned for defects or damages.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
